The first and second ICOPB was successfully organized in 2008 and 2010 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with over 500 delegates from 17 countries. This 3rd International Conference and Exhibition on Oil Palm Biomass (ICOPB 2011) will be held at the Mutiara Ballroom, Gran Melia Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The Oil Palm Biomass has emerged as a viable asset for the palm oil industry. Many years of R&D have made it possible to convert the oil palm biomass into economic products including MDF, Timber Board, Furniture, Chemicals and Fertilisers and Paper, just to name a few. Lately, new technologies have been developed to generate biofuel and electricity from oil palm biomass. There are already commercial ventures which have exploited the oil palm biomass for business.

ICOPB 2011 will feature the experience of such business ventures as well as table the latest findings on further improvement to the available technologies. In addition a keynote address on the growing economic value of oil palm biomass will be a major attraction of the conference. Prominent speakers in the field have been invited to make their presentation on a material which has attracted much interest from investors and entrepreneurs.

ICOPB 2011 will also feature an Exhibition on Oil Palm Biomass at the same premise during the two days conference. The Exhibits will include Latest conversion technologies, oil palm biomass products and equipment and services related to the oil palm biomass industry.
