Mr. Tang Kok Mun

Mr. Tang Kok Mun holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor Degree of Chemical Engineering from the University of Malaya. He started out his career in the oil palm oil industry and currently undertakes commercialisation projects and technical consultation work.
He is currently collaborating with a local university to commercialise one of their R&D in a revolutionary testing technology for the water, agricultural, food and medical sectors.
His interest in the field of environmental and sustainable development includes clean production, carbon footprinting and management, commercialisation of green technologies as well as sustainable strategies development at micro and macro levels.

Among the other major works he has undertaken include biodiesel study for a Malaysian public listed company; technical consultancy for EU-Asia project on sustainable management of municipal solid waste in Perak; as well as green office and carbon audit programme for British High Commission Malaysia.


Dato’ Dr. Abdul Rashid Ab. Malik

Y. Bhg. Dato' Abdul Rashid Ab. Malik is a Deputy Director-General for R&D at FRIM and is responsible to lead FRIM's R&D, technology transfer and commercialization efforts. He joined FRIM in 1979 and has provided leadership in all aspects of FRIM's operations, including R&D support service, contract research technology transfer and commercialization.


Before assuming responsibility for FRIM's R&D strategy, he led FRIM's management and ICT activities. He started his career at FRIM as a Research Officer at the Fire Research Laboratory and later served as Director in various Divisions including Forest Products Technology, Business Support, Corporate Affairs, Management and ICT. He has worked for FRIM for 29 years. He graduated with B.Sc. in Forestry at UPM, a M.Sc/D.I.C in timber technology/timber engineering and a Ph.D in wood pyrolysis from Imperial College, Science, Technology and Medicine, London.


Mr. Raphael L.T. Fitz

Mr. Raphael L.T. Fitz is the Managing Director/Shareholder of WABIO Technologie GmbH, München, Germany focusing on Waste-to-Energy solutions, Strategy development for new applications, Financing & Teaming up with strategic Partners such as CCI New Delhi & Development of Solutions for Food Industry, such as Sweets factory, Brewery, Bakery, Milk factory & Palm Oil Industry
He was born and brought up in Capetown, South Africa, he attended school in South Africa and Munich. After studying Medicine for 2.5 years in Rome, Italy he studied law in Germany.
